Yoga Nidra, Sound & Treat Fri 18th Sept, 7.15pm Temple Wellness Centre

£18.00

Temple Wellness Centre, Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill, Swansea SA3 2EH, 7.15pm - 8.30pm.

Join us in the Temple Wellness Centre, Parkmill at the end of the week and as autumn invites us to slow down. For 75 minutes of deep and effortless rest with Yoga Nidra, sound healing and delicious sweet treats. There is nothing to achieve and nowhere to go—just time to rest, receive and reconnect with yourself.

Yoga Nidra known as ‘yogic sleep’ is a state of conscious sleep where the body is guided into deep relaxation whilst you remain in a comfortable lying position. You’ll be taken through a gentle journey of body awareness, breath and visualisation. Unlike a typical yoga class, there is no physical movement or stretching. The intention is to help the body relax deeply while you are gently aware and present. The mind begins to produce a new rhythm of alpha brain waves, we become ‘abridged’ between the thinking mind (Beta) and the dream state (Theta). Insights, images, visions, and emotions can gracefully appear. The space between reality and dreams blur.

The lulling sweet tones of the crystal singing bowls, chalices and chimes flow gently through the body, loosening tension for a calm nervous system. Each vibration invites you to soften a little more, breathe a little slower, and settle safely into the present moment.

Your body will feel heavier, your breath slower, your mind quiet and spacious. You may drift into sleep during the session or leave feeling deeply relaxed and ready for a peaceful night’s rest. This is an invitation to pause and deeply rest and enjoy tasty sweet treat.

What should I bring?

You will need to bring with you a mat to lie on, blankets and a pillow. To optimise the experience we encourage optional items of comfort which help you to deeply relax such as eye pillows and crystals. Wear warm and relaxed clothing.

Our environment is nestled in a beautiful and historic healing space in the Gower, Swansea. The address is Temple Wellness Centre, Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill, Swansea SA3 2EH. There is plenty of parking in the carpark.

Doors will be opened promptly at 7.15pm. Please note that until this time, I will be preparing the room and I appreciate you waiting outside.
